Automate your restocking process with Push-to-Order Electronic Labels

Electronic labels display key information that is traditionally printed on paper labels or stickers for pharmaceutical and warehouse products. They replace these traditional labels, thereby supporting more efficient product and stock management. Thanks to an integrated button, departments can forward a replenishment request directly to the central pharmacy or warehouse with a single simple action. This replaces manual tasks such as turning the inserts – which risk falling on the floor – and checking and manually scanning stock items individually.
The electronic labels run on easily replaceable batteries with a 10-year lifespan and receive all updates wirelessly via a dedicated gateway, controlled from the central management system, which contributes to reliable, fast and simple use in day-to-day operations.
Integrated button
With the Push-to-Order solution, the user can send a replenishment request at the touch of a button on the electronic label. The labels communicate via Wi-Fi with the specialised wireless gateways connected to the network. The replenishment requests are automatically forwarded to the central pharmacy or warehouse and integrated into the hospital or healthcare institution’s ERP or WMS system for further stock processing without manual intervention.
Once the stock has been replenished, the logistics staff member confirms the action by pressing the button again, after which the system immediately receives notification that the replenishment process has been completed. This ensures reliable monitoring and full traceability of the restocking process in real time.

Optimised two-way communication

The Push-to-Order software makes it possible not only to send requests to the central pharmacy or warehouse, but also to feed information directly back from these central points to the labels in the departments. Thanks to this two-way communication, staff are automatically kept informed in real time of product-related events, such as products being out of stock, adjusted dosages, recalls and substitutions. This ensures faster response times, fewer errors and better coordination between the pharmacy and the teams.
Electronic label for smarter Kanban stock management
Within the Kanban system, items are distributed across two locations, each with its own electronic label. When the ‘active’ location – identified by a yellow background – runs out of stock, pressing the integrated button automatically triggers the restocking procedure to replenish this location. The second location is then automatically designated as the new active location.
In addition, the system offers the option to submit a replenishment request in ‘normal’ or ‘urgent’ mode, for example in the event of a stock shortage, for a responsive and perfectly managed inventory system.
Dynamic display
The dynamic display automatically adjusts the font size based on the number of characters entered. Furthermore, the electronic label supports four colours, ensuring full compliance with European regulations on the labelling of medicinal products.
Temperature monitoring
The electronic sensors enable continuous measurement of the temperature in a room with an accuracy of ± 1 °C. Based on these measurements, a warning or alarm can be automatically triggered in the system as soon as a temperature that is too high or too low is detected, ensuring reliable and responsive environmental monitoring.

Robust and hygienic design

Certified to IP68 and featuring a smooth, fully sealed surface, the electronic labels offer an optimal level of hygiene. Spilled products, water or even condensation in cold rooms can be easily wiped away. This ensures the labels remain perfectly suitable for use in both high-traffic environments and cold storage areas.
The electronic labels can be easily attached to virtually all baskets and modules thanks to our own robust, exclusive label holders. Installation and reattachment are quick and hassle-free, and the labels continue to function reliably, even if trolleys or other equipment accidentally bump into them.

A sound investment
By eliminating repetitive manual tasks – such as manually turning inserts, scanning cards individually or printing batches of labels – this solution optimises internal processes and boosts team productivity. Immediate updates to the various consumption points ensure reliable and synchronised information at all times, which relieves staff of the burden of managing their daily operations.
Furthermore, the electronic labels only consume battery power when the button is pressed. Thanks to this energy-efficient design, battery life can extend up to 10 years. A sustainable and cost-effective choice, fully in line with a responsible and efficient operational policy.
